Job Description

My client is looking for an Account Manager to increase their existing business as well as channels through the medium of securing, managing and developing accounts within the incumbent’s allocated area of responsibility so as to achieve the sales targets that are determined from time to time.

Candidate Qualifications

• Understand end-consumer and customer needs in the Hotel & Restaurant and Office channels • Grow the client base in this channel by identifying prospective accounts; securing and managing those accounts and developing the consumption potential of those accounts • Establish and maintain Hotel & Restaurant and Office customer database • Forge and develop relationships with the relevant key personnel at customer accounts • Promote Nespresso products and secure orders for Nespresso capsules • Follow up orders to delivery • Respond to queries and complaints emanating from customer accounts and ensure that they are resolved • Visit account customers on a regular and systematic basis in accordance with agreed program and promote • maximum consumption of Nespresso products • customer awareness of latest products, varieties, specials and promotions • Have and demonstrate the requisite technical selling skills, product knowledge and understanding of pricing required to function effectively in this position • Collect intelligence on competitor’s products and activities and report to Manager: B2B thereon • Develop a business plan for the allocated area of responsibility in conjunction with the Manager B2B, which details the activities that the incumbent will perform in order to meet or exceed the agreed sales targets • Maximize all opportunities to increase sales and the company’s market share • Identify and report to Manager: B2B top end venues, organizations and events at which Nespresso should be present or have visibility • Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed • Work within the marketing and support teams for the achievement of service goals, customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values • Maintain accurate records of all sales and other activities and render such reports as may be required from time to time • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

Candidate Skills

• Degree in Commerce, Business Administration • 3-5 years sales experience in Food and Beverages • Must have contacts/clientele in the Hotel, Restaurant, Catering and Café/Bar Industry • Sales targets achieved in previous and current role essential
