To utilise the skills and experience on site in making the production operation most efficient and responsive.
Daily job closures according to production plan: review and investigate.
Daily Mass Balance: reconcile all inputs into outputs.
Driving reduction in inventory adjustments.
Assist and validate input parameters, i.e. run times, scrap% set-up times, change over times.
Verify availability vs planned time
Align headcount to production plan and flexible labour to maximize efficiencies.
Daily tracking and management of headcount and overtime as per Project Improvement Projects and automation.
Controls Absenteeism in all relevant departments
Follow up on sanitation procedures daily and takes corrective leadership action.
Act as leader for Health & Safety in the workplace ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Enforce safe-work practices.
Carryout appropriate risk assessments within the department and review periodically and as part of near miss, incident or accident investigation.
The Operations manager and colleagues are advised of any items deemed unsafe or any breach of a statutory provision, which cannot be effectively remedied.
Co-ordinate support functions for department to produce quality products.
Ensures products are within quality specifications.
Assist with quality and housekeeping audits.
Ensure Housekeeping standards are maintained.
To ensure that products are manufactured in such a way that they meet with controls laid down by the site Quality Control Department.
Ensure that Quality Control and HACCP checks are carried out and that any non-compliance are speedily dealt with.
Matric with relevant qualification in Production/Manufacturing
Management Diploma or Production Management Diploma
2 - 3 Years production supervisory experience preferably in a food manufacturing environment 1 to 2 years SAP experience
