Job Description

Delivery of Security Services: Develops and manages the implementation of the Security Risk Assessment Program (SRAP) including adherence to it, and action plans, on a cross functional basis for Southern Africa, in line with Corporate Policy and Operational Excellence (OE) Elements -Conducts and manages investigations. Adheres to requirements of the Manual of Compliance Procedures and guidelines (MCPG). Ensure timely and accurate reporting and communications regarding investigations -Conducts and supervises Security Management Reviews, OE 1 implementation, security drills and policy / procedure reviews across Business Units in Southern Africa Management Support: -Maintains and supervises cost-effective security policies and procedures as required in Southern Africa Downstream -Maintains an Information Security and Awareness program for all. Management of Security Service Providers: Develops, implements and provides training on standards and procedures, in accordance with local laws and Global Security expectations by which local security service providers need to operate -Constantly reviews and evaluates the performance of security service providers and ensure appropriate metrics are in place to support this -Leads sourcing and procurement of security service providers to meet BU security requirements • Supervision:Oversees the workload and professional development of all members of the Southern Africa security organization. Maintains work records and security plans -Ensures timely and accurate reporting of security-related incidents to BU management, both initially and in subsequent written summaries -Ensures timely and accurate input of data to the GS Information Security Management System and other related records. Personnel Security: Works with Global Security and Facility Management to develop Security Vulnerabilities Assessment mitigation plans, ensure final plans are communicated to the Operational Excellence, Health, Environment and Safety (OE/HES) Leadership as well -Coordinates practices and ensure compliance to Global Security Personnel Security and Executive Protection policies, processes and protocols -Manages security program for the Expatriate Housing and provide travel advisory to employees engaged in business travels in and across the country, especially during and within areas affected by violent protests

Candidate Qualifications

Relevant Bachelor degree and/or equivalent Security Management qualification • Minimum five years’ relevant security experience, preferably obtained in a corporate environment • Strong Leadership and management experience that supervises a geographically dispersed team, engages the Distributive Areas business leaders • Strength in compliance as the role is key in leading O.E Element 1 as it relates to Security of Personnel and Assets • Critical to have a degree of proficiency in conducting and delivering high quality Investigations • Serving as a key representative amongst local business leaders and within various external stakeholder forums

Candidate Skills

Representation on Crisis Management Teams • Excellent communication skills both spoken and written • Willingness to travel nationally
