We are looking for an energetic, motivated and results-driven business sales leader to build our Online Stores presence in South Africa through strong partnerships with local partners. The ideal candidate is collaborative, energetic and a self-starter who can proactively work within an ambiguous environment demonstrating problem solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate with varied audiences.
Reporting to the Middle-East and Africa (MEA) Online Store Lead and working cross functionally with the South Africa retail and product teams as well as the Corporate Team, this person will develop and facilitate Online Marketplace account plan to achieve revenue targets, profitability and market share objectives.
Creating strong partnerships with E-tailers and E-commerce partners to define the sales and marketing plans for marketplace stores in the region.
Review and manage the sales and marketing goals through weekly and monthly cadence.
Analyze monthly traffic, conversion and sales to achieve monthly target; assess competitive landscape to further identify future sales opportunities to accelerate market share goals.
Develop Online Marketplace specific marketing programs in collaboration with category marketing leads and merchandising teams to improve and upgrade MS Retail Store business portfolio in market.
Drive alignment between Subsidiary stakeholders and Marketplace partners to support the overall Brand experience for consumers.
Manage the partner top executive (CXO) relationships and act as the single point of escalation.
Provide deep insight on local market business performance opportunities and constraints.
Deliver market insights to Store stakeholders to help inform and drive global marketplace strategy.
Develop customer insights and provide e-commerce and product based learnings to improve direct sales and inform Product Marketing Groups.
As the leader for the Online business in South Africa, you will be measured by how well you drive revenue across the product offerings, as well as show clear alignment with in-market stakeholders and retail marketing strategies for the store.
Willing to take a 1 year contract position
Proven thought leadership and results in e-commerce or category management in retail environment over the past 7+ years.
A deep understanding of e-tailers and e-commerce in the Gulf, both current and emerging, with the ability to translate marketing needs into program execution.
Ability to manage local executive relationships with stakeholders in market to secure support for Store initiatives, promotions and marketing plans.
Deep familiarity with customer data and consumer insights; high degree of comfort with sales data analysis.
An ability to manage relationships with subsidiary and MS Store peers to leverage campaign activities as appropriate, as well as drive global integration and adoption of global product marketing guidance.
Excellent communication skills tailored for audience and context.
