Assessments contribute to smart hiring decisions.

Assessments play a significant part in Manpower’s successful placement of 630,000 people on work assignments everyday. The validated tests we administer to candidates guide us in determining how well a candidate knows a specific skill or exhibits a certain behavior. This results in smart, accurate hiring decisions.

A complete interview with the candidate indicates the appropriate tests to administer to the individual. Manpower offers a host of skill and behavior assessments that cover a number of different areas, including: administrative, contact center, information technology and industrial, as well as thorough psychological tests that will help understand candidates’ behavioral styles. This will lead to excellent hires that are culturally fit for your organization.

Below is a brief description of the various assessments Manpower offers you.

SURESKILL® - Through this assessment, we measure proficiency and prove that the candidate really knows a software package. Tests are available that cover suites of software including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus, WordPerfect, and Windows. These software packages include activities related to word processing, presentation graphics, database, and spreadsheet functions.

Ultraskill® II - To measure a candidate’s ability to produce a professional, mail able document quickly and accurately while using a computer, Manpower uses this hands-on test to assess word processing skills, as well as the candidate’s abilities in spelling, formatting, grammar, and punctuation.

Teleskill - This multimedia test contains a series of realistic in-bound client calls and gives candidates an opportunity to experience what it’s like to sit at a contact center workstation and handle a stream of client calls. The simulation provides candidates with a realistic preview of the job and provides Manpower with a realistic preview of the candidate.

AccountCheck® – Through this comprehensive accounting skills assessment, Manpower ensures that the individuals we place in finance-related positions are well qualified and can produce results on the first day of assignment. We evaluate the candidate’s ability to: analyze and record business transactions; calculate percentages; interpret invoice information such as terms of payment; and make decisions regarding bank reconciliation such as updating the general ledger.

Ultradex® - For certain skilled industrial positions, this assessment uncovers a candidate’s eagerness to perform at high levels and determine:
  • Desire to do quality work
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Speed and dexterity
  • Skills and abilities in performing job tasks related to assembly, machine operation, packaging and inspection
Career Harmony – A pre-assessment tool used for all applicants applying for highly specialized jobs. Each career harmony assessment package is specifically developed for each project. Assessments in this category are charged at cost, assessment costs vary from case to case. This online tool has an extensive range of assessments available for admin, service-oriented (including call center) and sales skills.

Linguaskill – A computer-adaptive multimedia language test that assesses general knowledge and proficiency in English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch. It determines individual’s language skills and classify into 5 levels (1-5). Linguaskill adapts to each individual’s level of knowledge and is continually being enhanced and updated. It has been developed with the leading language testing experts in Europe.

People Keys – An assessment tool that follows the D.I.S.C. model – a theoretical model that identifies four key behavioral styles:
  1. Dominant
  2. Influencing
  3. Steady
  4. Compliant
The D.I.S.C. model will identify the following:
  • How best to motivate each style of person
  • Preferred environments
  • How to effectively communicate with them
  • How goals will be achieved by each personality
  • What environment will be preferred
This is best suited to key roles in client interface, team leaders as well as management positions. This assessment is charged at cost per person assessed.

Brainbench – An online assessment tool that predicts success on the job. Brainbench has a rich offering across personality, knowledge, skills, abilities and past work behavior. This helps in your hiring decision based upon the candidates’ results.

Choose from over 600 tests in the following industries: information technology (over 200 application and network technology assessments), financial, hospitality, staffing, pharmaceutical and healthcare.

There are also TotalMatchTM assessments, which combine employment history, key knowledge, skills and abilities and key personality factors for over 150 positions.
